Alan was conferred the Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001, and Master of Dental Science (Prosthodontics) with Honours in 2007 by the University of Sydney. He was awarded the ITI Scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina, Department of Periodontics, where he received further full-time training in implant surgery and grafting. Over the decades Alan has developed techniques, such as the Split-Key Technique for veneers, and invented dental tools, such as the ProsMate, which are used by dentists around the world. He leads the country in the placement of immediate implants utilising the Socket Shield Technique in the aesthetic zone.

Current Roles: Assistant Professor for the University of Hong Kong, Chair of the Education and Research Committee of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, Fellow of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists, Mentor for the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) program (University of Sydney), Mentor for the Postgraduate Diploma of Dental Implantology (Charles Sturt University), Examiner for the ITI Diploma, Director of North Shore ITI Study Club, Clinical Lecturer for the University of Sydney, Clinical Educator for James Cook University, Reviewer for the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, Managing Director of CREED CE, Convenor for Implant Prosthodontics and Porcelain Veneers courses.

Alan gave up the opportunity to be an Australian Olympian to pursue a career in dentistry, and he has absolutely no regrets. Married to Michele and with two beautiful children, including a daughter who is studying dentistry, he is kept grounded by his family.

Dr Yeen Lim

Dr. Lim obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand in 2008, during which she was awarded the New Zealand Dental Association Prosthodontic Society Prize, Highest overall performance award in Biomaterials Science, Pierre Fauchard Foundation Undergraduate Award for Student of Excellence, and New Zealand Dental Research Foundation Prize. She worked at the Christchurch Dental Hospital after graduation where she developed a strong interest in the Discipline of Prosthodontics.  She returned to the University of Otago and was awarded a scholarship to complete her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics in 2013.  Yeen relocated to Sydney after completed her training and is currently working both privately and at Nepean Oral Health as a clinical Prosthodontist.

Yeen enjoys both aspects of fixed and removable Prosthodontics. Her gentle and warm approach helps foster a comfortable environment and a positive dental experience.  As a Malaysian Chinese Yeen speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She enjoys clinical teaching, being involved in undergraduate teaching at the School of Dentistry, University of Otago, and currently mentors general dentists and students at Nepean Oral Health Centre. Dr. Lim is a member of Australian Dental Association, the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists, and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Yeen is a mother of a son and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening and culinary activities.

Hyun Young Ryu (Ryu)

Registered Dental Hygienist

Ryu has been a dedicated hygienist since 2011 with a Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) from the University of Newcastle and a Diploma in Dental Technology (DipDT) from TAFE NSW. As a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia (DHAA) and the Australian society of Periodontology (ASP NSW) Ryu is committed to continuous learning and stays updated on the latest advancements in dental care, ensuring patients receive the highest quality of treatment.

Passionate about delivering comfortable patient experiences, Ryu combines technical expertise, compassionate care, and a patient-centered approach to foster trust and satisfaction. From preventive care to tailored dental solutions, Ryu is committed to excellence in every aspect of oral health.

In her spare time, Ryu enjoys cooking and savouring exceptional meals, blending creativity and joy into daily life.
